Vitamin B17/Laetrile Cure For Cancer?

I watched halal-bio at astro Oasis. One of the theory that cancer be cured through B17 a.k.a known as Laetrile; but it has not been fully approved by western scientist. In the past, there were people who tried this treatment and cured.

Source B17/Laetrile can be googled. It can be found in Raw Apricot seeds and many other raw Fruit seeds. Whatever it is, it is worth to try it out. Prophet S.A.W once said, Allah will not descend disease unless with cure. So, every disease there's cure except death and aging.

I used to have friend who passed away because of the breast cancer. When she tried to use alternative traditional treatment, from i heard she only consumed plain rice and salty fish. Most important thing is to maintain healthy diet and stay positive. i know word is cheap and easier said than done.

Last year in October, I wish I had 4 things. Because of financial commitment or lack of focus, i should have got at least one of the 4 items listed in the entry below by mid year of 2009.

unfortunately, nothing happened during the mid year of 2009. I kept postponing. However, last couple of week, i registered for maxis and bought the Iphone white in Color 16 GB. When first got the iphone, it's rather difficult to comprehend its function. No manual was given. I had to do a lot of extra reading. then, i understand its functions. I can say it is very powerful phone. It really change my perspective. at first i thought, iphone is just another phone with fancy touchscreen.

Now, with iphone, i can view US Option, Currency Exchange, stock market movement, gold price, radio, mobile banking, azan software, yahoo messenger etc.

Well, now left another 3 wishes:
1. DSLR Camera - Nikon D300s is on my mind right now
2. LCD TV - Samsung new 5 series which can connect to Youtube, HD
3. Mac Apple Machine - MacPro 15"

Dunno how long it takes. Probably another year. just wait and see.

Sukuk Simpanan Rakyat 2009

Our Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Najib has announced the mini budget of RM60billion earlier to stimulus the economy. One of the programme in this budget is the Sukuk Simpanan Rakyat 2009 (Islamic Bond). The objective of this bond is to give a chance to people to earn some income during this economy crisis period, where most of the people not dare to invest in equity.

This bond is opened for all Malaysian above 21 year old, and the minimum investment is RM1,000, while the maximum investment is RM50,000 per investor. The bond will be launched at 14 May 2009, but the offer period is from 14 April 2009 to 13 May 2009. The agent for this offer will be all the commercial banks, including Bank Islam, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), and Bank Pertanian Malaysia. Commercial banks are banks like Maybank, Public Bank, CIMB Bank, EON Bank, Ambank, RHB Bank and so forth.

The maturity period of this bond is 3 years from the issue date. Interest will be paid out quarterly with 5% interest per annum. This means that if you invest RM1,000 into it, you will receive RM12.50 every quarter, until the bond is matured after 3 years. After 3 years, you will get back your initial investment, which is RM1,000. So, in total you will receive RM150 of interest during these 3 years.

Personally thinking, this bond is suitable for those who not able to take risk at all. At this time, bond with 5% is really not bad, as the Fixed Deposits interest rate now is only 2.5% per annum. However, during this economy crisis, stocks market has dropped quite a lot, and most of the stocks now are at fair value level, and some even are undervalued. For those who can bear the risk and looking for higher return, should consider to invest in equity instead of this bond.

Anyone know about Jesolo? I don't know about it since I have never been to Italy. I only know Rome, Pisa Tower, Venice and all those historical places in Italy. Jesolo is not famous for its history. It fames as one of the best beach in Italy. The town lies north of Venice, between Eraclea and Cavallino-Treporti.

Weather in Hotel Jesolo? Damn good! Humid, hot and shiny. best place to get your sun tan.

What about accommodation like a place to stay? There’s a few Hotel Jesolo. One of the recommended hotel in Jesolo; Park Hotel Brasilia. Park Hotel Brasilia, is ideally located in the East area of Lido di Jesolo away from traffic crowd and few steps from the main shopping street which, in the evening, is a pedestrian area.

The interior of the hotel conquests with the gentle design and soft colors of furniture and décor. The stunning landscape is accomplice of the evenings, by candlelight, in the refined restaurant Ipanema.

The rate is quite reasonable and equipped with facilities like pool, gym. And now the hotel is giving best offer and best deal, and you can save cost on this.

What to eat? there's a few hotel in hotel Jesolo. You can enjoy nice and finest cuisines around this area.

What else? Yes, shopping! You can't miss it. Plenty of souvenirs to be bought in Jesolo, you name it.

Despite other thing that I mentioned above, everything else should be fine. Enjoy your trip if you were going to Lido Di Jesolo, Italy. Enjoy it the italian way :)

First of all, i am in Philippines again since 2 march 2009. Ipanema? This is the bloody expensive slipper. I have never heard about it until 2 days ago, a friend asked me to look for these slippers. So, i went to the mall and asked people around about it. I thot it was local traditional product. I went to local souvenir shop. nobody knew it. So, i walked around to mall and looked for shoes section. Found it. I think only rich people wear it. and one of the top supermodel endorses these slippers. Dunno what's so special about it. This is it.

It is imported from Brasil. There are lot of design, but the pic that i took is more or less my preference.

Mission to Pakistan: Transit at Bangkok

Just arrived at bangkok. Time now around 2 pm local. Surprisingly, bangkok airport do reserve place for muslim to pray. I saw many muslim (not local muslim), look like they are either from India or pakistan because i heard hindi word. Acha.....hehehheh.. I am now at Business lounge Thai Airways Royal Silk. This is the advantage having business ticket. If i were on economy class, hell i wont have this kind of facility. First thing to do, i prayed first then straight away to the computer.

I will depart from bangkok around 19.00 local. I will go around and snoop the airport shop, see any souvenir to buy especially key'chain, t'shirt etc. Fridge magnet, definitely a no no answer....

Flight from KLIA to Bangkok, the stewardess are not beautiful as i have seen in the website. Malaysian Stewardess much better....kekekeek..... perhap from bangkok to karachi, my view will be changed... we will see.

Waiting for my colleauge to finish prayer, then will snoop around.

Mission to Karachi, Pakistan: Pre-Departure

though i have been through a lot of disappointment at the office, i somehow manage to convince the Boss to allow myself to go to Pakistan.

I will depart tomorrow afternoon at 13.00 pm from KLIA. I will first go to Bangkok (because direct flight from KLIA is not available except on Monday and Thursday). Voila! 2-in-1. Go to bangkok then, karachi pakistan. At first, i thought to use as many route as possible. I am thinking when coming back home, to use flight to go to dubai and then Kuala Lumpur. Isn't awesome? heheheh. But no, i can't do that. The company restrict certain airlines, they have selected preferred airlines. There's no preferred airlines from karachi to Dubai.

according to company's policy, flight more than 4 hours, employee is eligible to use business class. awesome, business class and thai airways.

I will stay at sheraton. I am not sure whether we are allowed to go outing for shopping, sightseeing etc after the workshop hour. You guys know me, i'd love to do some sightseeing, shopping, eating bla..bla. anything to do with travelling.

Pre-departure, i am trying to find what are available in Karachi. I know the weather is mild cold at this time. I am advisable to bring light jacket. I know food will be awesome and delicious. dunno about the rest.

I am just trying having a good time there. I will have access to WIFI/internet. So, wait for my next entry. Live from Bangkok (maybe if time permitted) and Karachi Pakistan.

Finally...... I just so happened to be online at that time (around 9.30). Suddenly, my boss (frits) from NL, buzzed me through instant messenger asking me about Severity 2 ticket. I really didn't know because:
1. I was not on ROTA for Severity 1 and 2.
2. It was Christmas.

So, he forwarded to me the ticket no for my further investigation. Not much detail been provided. and i talked to richard another person from UK. He gave me an overview what was going on. hmmm.. I looked at it...it was not even my speciality area. I called my team mate whom i believed would be more knowledgeable in that area. No body answered my call (because holiday and almost midnite). Hah! i happened to be at wrong place and wrong time. And nobody from brazil, US and EU can assist. Leave me with Richard. I had no choice except to investigate. at last, i know what was causing the system to be disrupted. and voila!

It is a must as a collector know the story behind its FM. otherwise, don't call yourself as a collector. As you guys know, the Fridge magnet from any countries represent the countries, the country signage, historical building, culture etc.

Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (Burmese: ; MLCTS: kyuik hti: yu:; also known as Golden Rock) is a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State, Burma. A small pagoda (5.5 m (18 ft)) sits on top of a golden rock, a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted on by devotees. The rock itself is precariously perched and seems to defy gravity as it perpetually appears to be on the verge of rolling down the hill. The rock and pagoda are at the top of Mt. Kyaiktiyo, It is the third most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Burma after the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Mahamuni Pagoda.

According to the legend associated with the pagoda, the Buddha, on one of his many visits to earth, gave a strand of his hair to Taik Tha, a hermit. The hermit, in turn, gave the strand to his adopted son King Tissa, an 11th Century Burmese king, with the dying wish that the hair be enshrined in a boulder shaped like the hermit's head. Tissa, with the help of the Thagymin, the king of the Nats found the perfect place for the pagoda at Kyaiktiyo where the strand was enshrined. It is this strand of hair that, according to the legend, prevents the rock from tumbling down the hill.

The village of Kinpun (16 km (10 mi)) at the base of Mt. Kyaiktiyo is the closest village to the pagoda. There are numerous other granite boulders on the mountain, some rocking and some not.

Kyaiktiyo has become a popular tourist attraction place of Pagodas in Burma.

Located in Bedugul highlands,built in 1633 by the King of Mengwi,dedicated to Dewi Danu,the Goddess of the waters,the main building of the Temple lies on a small island of the Lake Bratan.As the lake is one of the major lakes which supplies water for the ricefields all over Bali,ceremonies and pilgrimages are held here to ensure that farmers in Bali have enough water and bountiful crops.

The Temple consists of several shrines on the grounds,along the shore but the most beautiful is the conventional Hindu thatched meru which seems floatting in the middle of the lake. On the mainland,Pura Teratai Bang(black lotus), featuring a seven thatched-roofed meru is dedicated to the God Brahma.

There are also a three roofed meru dedicated to Siwa and an eleven roofed one to Wisnu. Walking past the entrance are a large banyan,lovely gardens and a Buddhist shrine. Also on the site is a Mosque, opposite the Hindu Temple.

Temple of Heaven, Beijing, China

The temple complex was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during the reign of the Yongle Emperor, who was also responsible for the construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing. The complex was extended and renamed Temple of Heaven during the reign of the Jiajing Emperor in the 16th century. The Jiajing Emperor also built three other prominent temples in Beijing, the Temple of Sun in the east (日坛), the Temple of Earth in the north (地坛), and the Temple of Moon in the west (月坛). The Temple of Heaven was renovated in the 18th century under the Qianlong Emperor.

In 1914, Yuan Shih-kai, then President of the Republic of China, performed a Ming prayer ceremony at the temple, as part of an effort to have himself declared Emperor of China.

The Temple of Heaven was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 and was described as "a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world’s great civilizations..." as the "symbolic layout and design of the Temple of Heaven had a profound influence on architecture and planning in the Far East over many centuries."^[1]

According to Xinhua, in early 2005, the Temple of Heaven underwent a 47 million yuan (5.9 million USD) restoration in preparation for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and the restoration was completed on May 1st, 2006.

The Temple of Heaven is a very popular park for exercising, and particularly for practicing taiji bailong ball, which is a paddleball variation of Tai Chi.

The forum served as a city square and central hub where the people of Rome gathered for justice, and faith. The forum was also the economic hub of the city and considered to be the center of the Republic and Empire

Lombard Street begins at Presidio Boulevard inside The Presidio and runs east through the Cow Hollow neighborhood. For 12 blocks between Broderick Street and Van Ness Avenue, it is a principal arterial road that is co-signed as U.S. Route 101. Ramesses II Temple at Abu Simbel, Egypt

Abu Simbel (Arabic: أبو سنبل‎ or أبو سمبل) is an archaeological site comprising two massive rock temples in southern Egypt on the western bank of Lake Nasser about 290 km southwest of Aswan. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Nubian Monuments",^[1] which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan).

The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari, to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh, and to intimidate his Nubian neighbors. However, the complex was relocated in its entirety in the 1960s, on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Aswan dam reservoir.

The relocation of the temples was necessary to avoid their being submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan dam on the Nile River. Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt's top tourist attractions.

Brandenburger Tor, Berlin Germany

The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is a former city gate and one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany. It is located west of the city center at the intersection of Unter den Linden and Ebertstrasse, immediately west of the Pariser Platz. It is the only remaining gate of a series through which one formerly entered Berlin. One block to its north lies the Reichstag. The gate is the monumental entry to Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees which formerly led directly to the city palace of the Prussian monarchs. It was commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia as a sign of peace and built by Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1788 to 1791. The Brandenburg Gate was restored from 2000 to 2002 by the Stiftung Denkmalschutz Berlin (Berlin Monument Conservation Foundation). Today, it is considered one of Europe's most famous landmarks.

MannekinPis, Brussel Belgium

Manneken Pis (Dutch for little pee man), also known in French as the petit Julien, is a very famous Brussels landmark. It is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin.

On many occasions, the statue is dressed in a costume. His wardrobe now consists of several hundred different costumes. The costumes are changed according to a schedule managed by the non-profit association The Friends of Manneken-Pis, in ceremonies that are often accompanied by brass band music.

On occasion, the statue is hooked up to a keg of beer. Cups will be filled up with the beer flowing from the statue and given out to people passing by.

What is Apsaras?

Apsaras, divine nymphs or celestial dancing girls, are characters from Indian mythology. Bayon, Cambodia

The Bayon (Khmer: Prasat bayon) is a well-known and richly decorated Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th century or early 13th century as the official state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom. Following Jayavarman's death, it was modified and augmented by later Hindu and Theravada Buddhist kings in accordance with their own religious preferences.

A Story about Facebook

I have been listening to flyfm radio channel this evening. There was an interesting topic being discussed; facebooking. I dunno about you guys. Recently so many of my friends asked me to facebook. Be it my office mate or ex-school mate or many of my friends. It has been a trend. Even my ex-lecturer whom i met during last reunion also facebooks.

I do realize that facebook has the positive aspects; it can connect and network your old friends, school mate, university, classroom etc.

U guys must know that facebook can also cause trouble in your life. Let me tell you a story. Friend of friend of mine who is having 2 wives. At facebook, if you are married, you can only put one wife that has relationship with the facebooker. Eventually, this guy put the second wife as a person having relationship with him. Later the first wife knew, world war III; accusing him for not being fair to the first one. FYI, both wives are also on Facebook. What happened next, they quarreled at facebook. Consequently, everyone read it. what a shame. I didn't know the end of this story.

Who knows what are other things that facebook can trouble your life. I don't really like to facebook and i dunno why. Probably i have been exposed so much the trend facebook alike (i.eL friendster, myspace, Hi5, tagged etc). I'd prefer to blog.

My advice, don't put so much your personal info at facebook. Keep some for your life

When Tun Mahathir says....

Recently, Tun Mahathir has given his comments about the future of Malaysian Prime Minister. He was saying that non-malay can become the prime minister one day (not in the near future). As usual and as i expected the reaction from UMNO member or for those who really supports him, will comment, whatever he says, it is something to ponder. An overwhelming reaction. bla...bla..

What if, same thought is coming from opposition party (i.e: PAS or PKR or any malay dominated parties), what would be the reaction? I can guarantee whoever comes out with this statement will be labeled as Malay Traitor, ungrateful malay, Disrespectful Malay and many labels. . I remember back then, Chief Minister of Kelantan, Datok Nik Aziz nik mat who has come out with the same opinion but with the clause as long as he/she is muslim malay or non malay can become the prime minister. The reaction was the other way around.

Not that i disagree or agree with what Tun Mahathir said, nevertheless this is the way of malaysian politics.

It should be, it is not about "who said" but the important thing "what is said".

As expected, Obama won landslide victory for US presidential election. This is also the first time in the history of american president, who is Black. He won 60%-+ of the overall vote.

I am wondering, will there be any change in US foreign policy? in the past, when a new president was elected, there will be a change this and that. in the end, every american president are all the same. It has come to my sense, whoever becomes the US president doesn't matter. Most important is people around him. they the one whose been advising the president on what to do and what not to do. To become a leader, u just need a good people around you, ask them to do this and that, and you blend the information and then claim; that's your idea. this is what we call as "deliver through others"; the 9 planets leadership framework.

EPF (Employee Provident Fund) in its early statement has denied EPF involvement towards Value Cap business transaction.

EPF Denies Involment With Valuecap Sdn Bhd

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) denies reports in today's newspapers (November 20, 2002) which associated the operations of ValueCap Sdn Bhd with the EPF's investments and two other state-run funds.

The EPF wishes to clarify that it has not appointed ValueCap Sdn Bhd to manage the EPF's investment fund. The EPF also denies that its involvement in the KLSE is to shore up the stock market. The EPF's investments are not used to bail out ailing companies.

The EPF invests in companies with sound fundamentals, long-term growth potential and competent management. The EPF is always prudent and professional in its approach when investing members' savings. The Fund ensures that the investments are safe, not exposed to high risks and gives reasonable returns to its members for their retirement.

On the other hand, Najib Tun Razak (the newly appointed Malaysian Finance Minister 1) has given contradict statement; Value Cap Sdn Bhd to borrow money from your pension fund (my pension fund too). Read here: EPF to lend the RM5b to fund Valuecap

In the mean time, the 2nd finance minister, has told public that "value cap has done well" and EPF will be profited from this transaction.

My comments:

1. Government must be transparent if they want to use EPF money.

2. Is government really wanting to buy undervalue stocks (investing) or to bail out certain companies with the purpose to absorb buying support which is happening at Bursa Malaysia?

3. If valuecap was claimed "has done well" according to finance minister 2, why valuevap must borrow especially from EPF money? where the heck is the profit generated for the last 5 years?

4. In the era of internet age, i haven't seen about valuecap sdn bhd website to see its background, management, fund achievement managed by them.

5. Warren Buffett is one of the successful person who used value invest technique by buying stocks which undervalued. But, the transaction made by him is consistence, be it during market booming or crashing. As long as the price is accordance to his judgment though the overall index is rising and not necessarily down, buffer will still buy the stock. Recently, buffet just bought USD5 billion of Goldman Sachs.

6. Surprisingly, the fund achievement being managed by Warrent Buffet will be publicly announced. Not only that, all stakeholder Berkshire Hathaway will get letter from Warrent Buffet every year to enable him to report directly the progress of Bekshire Hathaway. You and I who are not even buying 1 unit of Berkshire Hathaway, also can have free access to the Berkshire Hathaway Report.

7. But this is not happening to Valuevap which been founded using public fund and yet want to borrow AGAIN using public fund.

8. Perhaps Valuecap can manipulate the law where by Syarikat Sdn Bhd is not obliged to declare its financial and operation but morally if they used public fund, the management need to be more prudent and transparent.

9. Petronas which is wholly owned by Malaysian government also publicly published their financial report to be read by civilians. Why valuecap can't follow good governance shown by Petronas?

10. Initial Step to borrow your money (my money too) is a bit confusing because what happens recently is due to sub-prime crisis where debts are not properly managed.

11. When all financial institution take overcautious action to loan money to any companies at this time, suddenly EPF is so generous to give loan to Valuecap. Not RM50,000, not RM500,000 not RM5 million but RM5 Billion!!!

12. I wonder what is the collateral being used by Valuecap that cause EPF to give loan these much money RM5 billion??

13. What will happen is valuecap loss and not able to repay the loan to EPF? Who would want to pay Rm5 billion? will it be the same to EPF contributors to hold responsibility like what has happened pension fund in US and Europe who currently has big loss because of sub-prime-crisis?

15. We, as the EPF contributor, must force EPF to be more cautious not to easily give such big amount of loan.

16. If government want to really really transparent, they should announce to public which undervalue that valuecap wants to buy using EPF money, so that the contributor can judge whether those company is really qualified to be bought using value investing concept.

17. Once it has been agreed that this transaction will happen, next thing to announce which financial institution will be profited from commission? Will it go to CIMB pocket which headed by Najib's Brother, Nazir?

How to spot Illegal Deposit taking by companies?

Last week, Central Bank of Malaysia has raided 4 companies which been accused of taking deposit illegally. One of the companies, Buluhmas Enterprise http://www.buluhmas.com was promoted by my old friend, asking me to join. I was quite reluctant to join. then, news breakout; buluhmas together with other 3 companies which has same mode of operations, suspected to have taking illegal deposit (some people would classify under quick rich scheme).

Though in the past, so many companies have been raided by Central Bank Of Malaysia, not many people really learn their lesson. For your information, once a company has been accused to operate illegally against BAFIA Act or AMLA act, the account will be frozen. If found guilty, the money will not and will not be refunded to so-called "investor".

To prevent this to happen again in the future, here are some guidelines for you guys on how to spot "Illegal Deposit Taking":

This company is legally registerred with ROC (registrar of companies or known as SSM) under SDN BHD.
They have legal binding agreement, endorsed by lawyer, legal stamp duty as if to show they were very transparent, if anything happened; you can sue them and get your money back. Don't be fooled.
They run a legal business like farming, retailing, franchising, trading, services etc. They look real to you.
They have the so-called investment package, i.e: if you invested RM1,000.00; you'll get certain or reasonable amount of return. They will claim the money will be used as business capital to run the business. Once get profit, it will be distributed in accordance to package.

The fact is:

Under SDN BHD, if something bad happened like bankrupt, fraud; company is dissolved and you can't do nothing about it to its board of directors though you have "legal agreement". This is the loop hole of this "law". Those manipulative lawyers paid by these companies fail to understand laws.
If a company suspended by Central Bank of Malaysia; no lawyers in Malaysia can save that companies though you have the best legal agreement in town and best lawyer in the country.
Companies that are allowed and given permission to collect deposit:

Limited Companies (Syarikat Berhad) via Security Commission through share
Koperasi which is supervised closely by SKM (Suruhanjaya Koperasi malaysia) through its share.
Financial institution like Tabung Haji, PNB (ASB/ASN/Etc) or Bank institution or its subsidiaries (i.e: Bank Islam and its subsidiary Takaful Malaysia, Maybank and its subs like etiqa, public bank and its subs like Public mutual etc). This is inclusive of the collection for saving, investment, fixed deposit and insurance.

Anything that not belong to these 3 categories, if your friends or relatives promote to you no matter what, even in the name of your race, your religion etc; Don't ever give your money.

Read again and again. I have learnt my lesson. When will you??

There are 4 things that i wish to have right now.

1. DSLR Camera

- Canon?
- Sony?
- Nikon?

I really don't know which one is the best. All i know, my sony cybershot is not enough for me. I need bigger and sharper image. Can i anyone shoot me a spec, what should i look for when buying DSLR Camera?

One of my friends suggested me to budget for this item around MYR5k.

2. Macintosh PC/Notebook

I went to Machines (apple premium reseller http://www.machines.com.my). I first looked at apple product, OMG, superb!. I want to buy it as soon as possible. Though my company provided laptop but too many restriction. I can't install that, i can't install this. At the end, the laptop is only for email and microsoft office.

The price is around MYR5-6k (complete accessories).

3. iPhone

Apple Iphone. Still i have to wait because its rating for battery is very poor. Nevermind, this can wait for another 2-3 years. No stylus, purely touch screen.

4. LCD tv with Home Theatre

Sony Bravia is really nice. But the product is not really mature yet. Still at the introduction cycles.

These are my wish list. Hope to get it by mid of next year.

I was trying to play around with the photo effect. Turning the color into nostalgia photo as if the photo was 60 years old. This photo will be 60 years in 2068. By that time, i will be 92 years old. Will I be around? probably my body will be in the graveyard.

I wear glasses since 10 years ago. I have been impacted by the so-called astigmatism. The optician that i used to see the real cause of my astigmatism is because i like to read while i lie down. As a result of this, it has caused my vision to be blurred. Every once in a while i will have to apply some medicine to my eyes to reduce irritation which sometime interrupt my daily routine, can't watch TV or reading.

Once the surgery is complete, the tubes are removed and no stitches are needed. Only in certain cases can sutureless vitrectomy surgery be performed.
Another treatment is laser vitreolysis. In this procedure a powerful laser (usually an Yttrium aluminium garnet laser) is focused onto the floater and in a quick burst vaporizes the structure into a less dense and not as noticeable consistency.

I am sure many of us involve in a relationship. some last forever until death their apart. some lasted few years. Some only last few months.

When a clash of a relationship happened, do you blame your partner or you blame yourself? The best therapy to deal with this kind of a situation (clash/break off) is to look at yourself. You should regret for not being a good partner to girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife because he/she left with a good reason. You don't treat him well, you being rude; cruel to him/her. That's why he/she leave you even though for third person that happen to cross path into your partner life. or how would i say, u deserve for what you have done! It's your karma.

Evaluate yourself before you put a blame to someone else.

Like wise, if you treated your partner real good and yet they leave you; don't be sad. Because you have done the best you could to your partner. It's not your lost but it's their lost. If you were being good, then he/she will miss the good thing about their partner. Some cases, they tried or will come back for truce, tried to get back together again. at this point, it's up to you whether you want to accept or to reject.

Remember, Just be good and people will treat you well.

Escape to Hyderabad: Chowmahalla Palace

After went to Charminar and Mecca mosque in Old City of Hyderabad, next pit stop is at Chowmahalla Palace (as if i was in Amazing Race). Again, this is another magnificent architecture, 300 years old and it is stand still. Compared to other building, the palace is still in a good condition, well maintained. The landscape and plenty of security guards watching the palace.

While Salabat Jung initiated its construction in 1750, it was completed by the period of Afzal ad-Dawlah, Asaf Jah V, the V Nizam ensured its completion between 1857 and 1869.

It is believed to be modelled on Shah of Iran's palace in Tehran. The palace is unique for its style and elegance. Building of the palace began in the late 18th Century and over the decades a synthesis of many architectural styles and influences emerged. This palace consists of two courtyards , southern courtyard and northern courtyard. They have elegant palaces, the grand Khilwat (the Durbar Hall), fountains and gardens. The palace originally covered 45 acres, but only 14 acres remain today.I heard if i were to go there by night, it will be totally different from day tour. I dunno and don't care as my original agenda in Hyderabad was meant for business; so didn't have much time.

I let my photo do the talking. A picture worth a thousand words. All i can say, superb. By the way, you have to pay in order to capture picture around the palace but I didn't pay and I took the picture illegally and sneak around...heheheh.. Enjoy the pic though.

Escape to Hyderabad

I went to Hyderabad in mid July 2008. Didn't have much time to write up a story until today.

As mentioned before, this was a business trip. As usual, I took chances to look around especially the historical place. One of the trip was going to old city of hyderabad. Hyderabad was the last state taken by India. Prior to that, Hyderabad was an independent state ruled by Sultan Nizam. You can see a few amazing architecture, just like the taj mahal. I can conclusively say that ancient indian was full of tremendous architect.

This is Mecca Mosque. It's about 400 years mosque. The mosque stand still. But too bad, it is not properly maintained. You can see pigeon flying around.

I was trying to snap bright sky picture from Mecca Mosque. You can pigeon flying. cool huh! as if i am the professional photographer. This was accidentally taken. hehehe

This is Charminar. Its function during those day as the sight tower. Another superb architecure from far. When you get close to it, you can irresponsible people who didn't appreciate historical heritage; vandalism on the wall.

This is bangle street. Took this photo from charminar tower. Why it is called bangle street? the merchants along the street only sell bangle. Nothing else.

This photo also taken from Charminar. You can see so many traditional indian taxi. Got meter just like any other taxi. Note that in India, they honk a lot. Signal light (left and right) are unused at all. Every 30 seconds to 1 minute, they will honk each other. Reason is to make other driver alert that you are on road. Traffic light? There are but they don't really follow sometimes. But rarely you see major accident.

You can see thousand of people here. If you see this and assume this is really crowded, then you can imagine New Delhi is even crowder than this.

All in all, i can say i can enjoy the trip. but what really disappointing me is that, it's very hard to find souviner item i.e: t-shirt, key-chain, fridge magnet etc. I found one but it was enuff.

Indian Cuisine: Jeera Rice

I went to India for business trip. it was a good experience. One of the thing that i like is indian cuisine. It's not a problem for me to find Indian cuisine in Malaysia because Malaysia is multi-racial and cultural country. You can find Indian food, Chinese, western etc. But when i went to India, i found this. It's totally rare. This is the first time i see it in my life. It's called jira rice (the rice portion only). Jeera means cumin (jintan). It's cooked together with cumin and a few other ingredients. If you would like to try this recipe, here it is.

Ingredients:

1 cup Basmati rice
2 tsp Jeera (cumin seeds)
2 tbsp Cashew nuts
3 Whole peppercorns
2 Bay leafs
3 Cloves
2 Cinnamon sticks
1 Onions, sliced
2 tbsp Ghee
Salt To Taste

How to make Jeera rice:
[*]Wash the rice and soak in water for half an hour.
[*]Heat ghee in a heavy saucepan, add cashew nuts. Fry until brown. Take them out and keep aside.
[*]Add onions , bayleafs, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cumin seeds, peppercorns to the same ghee and fry for a while.
[*]Add the rice , salt, water and stir. Cover with a lid and simmer the flame.
[*]Cook until the rice is done.
[*]Serve jeera rice

Labu Labi In Another View

Malay oldie movie i believe will never miss out watching this movie. I have been watching this over and over again, and i still watch it until today. This movie was released in 1962. I was not even born yet at that time. the director cum actor P-ramlee was truly genious when coming out with the movie plot. The plot if we were to look at different angle, it is against the cultural streamline. The character labu and labi was about 2 male servants working with stingy boss.

What is weird, there was never be in Malaysian culture that male become a "maid" that cook and doing some housework. In a british culture, yes it is. They have butler to cook and doing some housework. I can say it represents the influence of british culture in this movie.

2nd point to highlight, labu and labi fall in-love with their boss's daughther, manisah. They never straight forward expressed their feeling towards her. In my view, probably manisah is coming from rich family, whereas labu & labi were just a maid. Two different social status; the rich and the poor. Those day, a lot of movie plot portray this kind of social problem where the rich and poor fall in love each other, and then, family will definitely support this kind of status. Where do you guys see it often where you status play important role? Bollywood movie of course! Another culture influence in malay movie. Additionally, movie was full of song similarly like the indian movie.

Labu & Labi fantasized and bullied back their boss in dream.

Financial Planning (2): Insurance + saving

Insurance has become a necessity today. I was once believing that insurance does give benefit much to its contributor if nothing happened. As time goes by, i am more appreciating insurance than before. I realize that if tomorrow or someday, if i were to get heart attack or cancer, do i have enough cash to bear the medical cost? I have cash which is not much. If i were to go government hospital, the service is less preferably. I have been admitted to government hospital because dengue fever. Of course you want the best for your health, you want to be comfortable while you are very sick.

Before this, there's not much variety in the insurance industry. If you were to purchase insurance back in previous years, less likely your money will be returned to you if you are health and live longer. today, the industry has come with better solution. They have some sort like saving and at the same time you get protection. If you are healthy upon the maturity period, you will get back what you have invested.

First, you have to treat as your expenses. It's for your future billing if u were hospitalized. I have frens who had cancer and tumor. One live and one passed away. THe one who live, at first he is using company benefit to cover the medical cost. At last, it has reached to maximum amount and company started to cut half of his salary after the 3rd month. This is when the insurance becomes handy.

Another variety that industry can offer is college fund. Few years back, we have scholarship to cover college expenses. For bumi status citizenship of malaysia, you are lucky enuff to have that kind of privillege.

Education is getting more competitive than ever. Government has introduced loan for college expenses like PTPTN. Do you think that the PTPTN loan is sufficient to cover pocket money as well as other expenses?

Remember, you will still get back on what you put (meaning choosing the right product that has 3-in-1 funcctionalities (saving + coverage + hospitalization). with you insurance, you'll have piece of mind. No need to worry when you are unable to work, gain money. Let insurance takes care at that hour.

I dunno how many of young malaysian save money for future? I bet 98% will spend everything and dont keep a dime in their saving account. They will only start save when they reach 30. I have experienced this. I only start saving few years ago (if i remembered it starts in 2004) with minimum saving RM50.00. Before that, before end of the month balance in saving account almost nil. Until i met an insurance agent, then i realized the need to have saving. That was the trigger point to start saving. then, i extend further by opening up Hajj Fund with Tabung Haji, almost minimum amount RM50.00. Years after years, i keep increasing my funding. It's never too late to start.

I am still student. i don't have money to save

-- nahh..Lame excuse. You got money. Money from PTPTN, money from your parent, money from working part time. Start to save some money even with RM5.00 a month. Start early and you'll never regret.

I have so many commitment. I have to pay my bill, debts, expenses

-- start to discipline yourself. Save as low as RM10-20. If you dont start now, u never will.

Rules of thumb!
Never touch your fund unless it is really really a matter of life and death. Why? Power of Compounding effect. Let's say you put your money in hajj fund (tabung haji), they will give you dividend/bonus (e.g: 5% average).

1st Year
Hajj Fund: RM1,000
Dividend: RM50
Total: RM1,050

2nd Year
Hajj Fund: RM1,050
Dividend: RM52.50
Total: RM1,102.50

Imagine, for 2 years u have gained RM102.50. The amount will keep compounding and increasingly add value to your money. u do nothing and yet RM102.50 added into your account. Let the money work for you.

This is very simple rule, journey of freeing yourself from debt.

Malaysian Malaysia

These words seem to be very popular in my country recently. Since today is our 51st independent day, i'd like to write about it. 25 years ago, the kampung where i used to live. My kampung neighbour was a chinese. We played together but we never went to the same school though their home is very near to Sekolah Kebangsaan. No chinese or indian send to these school. There are about 20++ races in Malaysia since the independence. Nowadays, Chinese and Indians want to be equalized like the malay who rule the country. Chinese especially DAP has launched the slogan, Malaysian Malaysia. But, deeply i am quite suspicious. If we wanted truly not to be seggregated by races, still the chinese and indians defend their chinese and indian school. still, they want to retain their mother tongue as a medium of communication. Unlike in indonesia and phillipine, though chinese control the wide of the economy; they dont have the privillege to have chinese national school or retain medium of communication. It is pointless if the malay tried to propogate national unity and sacrifice, and the other side refuse to sacrifice.

I dunno what it is meant by Malaysian Malaysia. Does it mean, there would be no more malay, chinese, indian etc? Nation to have and speak in one Language? forget our heritage? Lotsa chinese supported the DAP but they failed to comprehend what malaysian malaysia it is.

I personally dont have problem with malaysian malaysia as i believe we have to be equally treated, to be given same level of opportunity. just like the malay phrase:
"hidung tak mancung pipi tersorong-sorong". We have TO EQUALLY SACRIFICE! Not fair if the other side forgo their privilege and heritage, and the other parties are not willing to do the same!

Next week (1 september) will be Ramadhan Month (Fasting month). All Muslim (exceptional for youngling, who has period, very sick to death) will be required to fast. We (muslim)can't eat and drink from the very beginning of sunrise until it is dawn. We also need to prohibit themselves to control their lust from doing bad things (not only in Ramadhan). Ramadhan is the month of worship; Recite quran, tarawih prayer, be kind, be more charitable.....

Tremendous event. China has finally positioned themselves to become sport power. With china population with billion people, they should be plenty of talented sportmen and women, it shouldn't be a problem for china to be no.1 in gold medal ranking.

Funny thing, when i read theSun this morning about india:

One billion people, three medals. And they're saying it's their most successful for decades.

Bear in mind, India will take over world population from China in 2010.

And congrats to Malaysia also though malaysia only won 1 silver medal. Something is better than nothing ritee???? hihihihih.

The new Age career

Many of you might know me as the SAP consultant, application support, system analyst; just to let you guys know that before i join the IT industry (specifically SAP), my knowledge was about business. As you can see my degree, bachelor of science in Business and Economics (why the heck the university classified business and economics under bachelor of science not bachelor of art? don't ask me why). My major was Finance (business finance to be exact). In this field, i was expected to become a financial nerd, study the figure. study the investment, do the financial analyst. It was a very heavy subject. I don't quite understand why on earth i took this field. In 1995-1995, malaysian economic was booming. Stock market went high. People made tonnes of money at that time. Even postman can afford to buy masterpiece Mercedes because of high return playing the stock market. So, i decided...yeah..I want to make money in a very structured manner. Study the whole system, analytical approach. In 1997, financial speculator has caused economic turmoil in Asian region. Stock market crashed down. Lotsa people suffered, bankrupted. It has caused my financial knowledge appetite to crash down as well.

Worst part, when i got back from United States; it was very hard to find a job. I had first becoming an english teacher (for form 1 and 2), english trainer (operator kilang). the job was totally irrelevant to my academic background. Then, my first real job was Personal Assistant to MD. But i have to thank to this MD because he hired. This has become my stepping stone. After that, i joined the SAP industry. I really didn't know at that time that SAP is really lucrative industry. I joined for the sake to explore new opportunity. Money was 2nd matter.

However, my interest in financial investment and business is still there. I am still learning, the new way to make an investment. Online stock option, online trading etc. This blog is part and partial to make online money.

and i believe in this new age, no one should be jobless. there are plenty of opportunity. Grab one and u'll make money. Don't believe that there's only one way or believing that u can only do one thing and ignorance in other field. One thing for sure, nothing is permanent. U have to make yourself very flexible though u r comfortable and working with gigantic firm or government.

As you all know, i have been attending tajwid (the way to read quran as what prophet muhammad s.a.w prescribed) since February this year. Almost a year already. Most of my classmates are quite, how do u say it...old... (mcm lah diri awak tu tak tua). Last time when i took exam was during my primary school. It was piece of cake; can do test while my eyes blindfolded. But this time around, it's gonna be different because the ustaz (teacher) who teaches the class is very detail oriented. he doesnt want to give extra ordinary question that usually answered by primary student. It will be technical question.

I am going to have exam monday next week, 26th august 2008. All the best to myself.

I guess you guys know already that blogging activities can give you extra money by putting advertising in it or put affliates. Who doesnt want free money with minimal effort? Here, I'll share what I have learnt from others as well as from personal experience. Free money of course with some effort it. U need to learn and think a bit.

First: U need to have blogspot account. Your blog must (MUST) be written in English. Comprendre?? Other blogger site like wordpress, blogdrive; they do have facilities to generate money...but very limited because they are still new player compared to http://www.blogspot.com/ (since blogspot is the pioneer in this blogging indutries). Why English? because google adsense can't understand malay. Perhaps, some other ads might understand and they can accept it. what the heck, just write in english for the better of yourself. Broken pun broken.... ahahahaha

Second: Open adsense account with http://www.google.com/adsense . Google will review your applicaiton within a week before they can give your the authorization to put the advertisement in your blog.

Why on earth they give you money? because it is advertising. This is the cheapest way doing advertising. You know how much does it cost to put advertising in television, magazine or even popular website. Even though they pay us very little money, it is still dollar and cents worth while to your slim pocket. Money is money. U want to pee also sometimes u have to pay. heheheh. Even Your Sh*t also u have to pay to IWK.

Today is my birthday. Gosshh!!! i am old already. How coincident, i created this blog prior to my birthday. I never intended to create this blog before the day. I created this blog because the obsession of seeing my frens having blog.

Whatever it is, happy birthday to myself. Weird thing about my birthday, my parents never wish me happy birthday since the very first day i was born. Well, because i am used to it; dont care and no heart feeling even my closest friends dont wish. What do i want to buy for myself this year? Last 2 years I bought nokia N80. Very expensive, then I sold it because it is useless; cant be integrated to this notebook.
Think about it later.
